Finished one more semester of college in May. Moved home. This was such a bitter sweet thing. I will miss Logan in general. I will miss living with my awesome roommates. I was very blessed with roommates these past two years. Megan & Amanda. My best friends. I could not be more thankful for them in my life. I wish we could all buy a mansion & live in it together. Ha. I was seriously blessed to have them as roommates. We all became great friends. & I see those friendships continuing over the years of our lives.
Moving home was weird. I enjoy having my own space. I do not feel like I have my own space here at my parents house. I mean I do, but I miss being on my own a little bit. Some people will not understand unless they've lived on their own for FOUR YEARS. Yeah. I've only spent summers at home in the previous four years. So knowing I'm home for good is bittersweet.
I have been working my summer away. Literally. With a few little trips away. I went to Vegas with Zack's family in June. It was a nice get away. I enjoy spending time with him & his family. I adore his family more than words can express. They make me feel like part of the family. The trip was fun-- yet I think near the end we were both sick of each other. We started fighting & I remember Halee, Zack's sister saying, "Just because you two are fighting does not mean that it has to ruin the fun for everyone else." I was so sick of fighting but we both think we can read each others minds. Which is impossible. Something we need to learn to figure out. Not reading each others minds, but learning how to deal with it.
At work we have been busy as always. Some days are slow. But those days are very rare. For the 24th of July we decided to dress up like cowboys & cowgirls. Well, most of us did. It was really fun actually. Sam & I probably annoyed more people than usual that day with our cap guns & our little stand off outside. Ha. Alan went & bought us food. We did a cook out on the grill outside. He even bought me veggie burgers! Ha It was really nice of him. I think everyone knows that for the most part I really enjoy my coworkers & my job!
I have been to a few concerts this summer. Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, & Tim McGraw. All in July so far. I still have three more concerts coming up. Or maybe just two if I sell my Alabama tickets. The concerts have been fun. Carrie Underwood was at the stadium of fire in Provo. I went with Zack's family and we stayed at his grandparents house in Provo. Rascal Flatts was in Tooele. Zack & I went. We met up with Amanda before the concert for dinner at Costa Vida. It was yummy. It was so nice to see her. I haven't seen her in a while! Tim McGraw was a freaking pain to get into. I purchased tickets from a girl in Idaho. Those tickets should have been at will-call. They were not. We stood outside the concert for two hours trying to figure out what to do. Zack kept asking me, "What do we do?" I'm like, "I don't know! I'm in the same boat as you. It's not like I have tickets & you don't!" Anyways. Two hours later we got into the concert. & it was amazing. Favorite concert of the summer so far!!!
River Rafting at Lava for Halee's birthday. It was a lot of fun. I have never been before. I was pretty scared actually. I wore a life vest the first time down, after that I was okay not wearing one. But I'm so glad that our quad-tube did not flip!! I would have freaked out probably. & I'm grateful for having Zack or Braxton on the tube with me. They were willing to pull us to the sides if needed or get our tube moving. Ha. I was not about to jump into that water. Ewe. I'm afraid of those fishies!
Mom had surgery on her right foot a few days ago. It has been hard watching her try to get around with her crutches. It's hard not being home with her during the day when she might need something. I spent the weekend with her. We just watched TV the whole weekend. It was relaxing. I needed a weekend spent doing nothing.
My dad just purchased me a new car. Which I AM buying from him. Then I will be selling my car. Keeping my SUV of course for winters. Two cards, Summer & Winter, Is the only way to go! My new car is a cute Mazda 3. I just got it this weekend. Drove it for the first time tonight. So I'm still getting used to it. It has electric everything though (which my car never had), plus heated seats, plus a sunroof, plus an amazing system. I'm just hoping I'm not that annoying girl with the loud bass sitting at the stoplight. Ha.
Registered for classes. I want to do a minor though. Undecided on what I really want to do for a minor though. I did figure out a practicum site. I'm doing it at the Children's Justice Center. I'm excited & nervous at the same time. I hope I can handle it & do it well. Manage school, internship, & work. Wish me luck!
I will try to update more often. I just need to find the time. Blogging is time consuming for sure. Ha
